My breath, cold and heavy once more--
Welcome back into my mind.
I haven't seen you in a while.
I invite you in as I succumb to your darkness:
The darkness of tears,
The darkness of heartbreak,
The darkness of abuse.
Your cruel pleasure consumes me into black.
You're there each time I fall never to pick me back up.
Gazing back at me.
Your shadowed figure,
Your disturbingly loud silence,
They overcome me as I fall deeper into your clutches.
"You'll never be good enough,"
Tears drip as blood runs cold onto gray pavement beneath me.
My body rejects itself as I fade.
