Summer Flowers(Adoption)

Eight transplanted summer flowers
Were given to a couple for care
They all had been trampled upon
And cast away, driven full of fear
And so they bloomed
Those beautiful summer flowers
The gentle people gave love and care
For they both had lots to spare
They grew up tall and gay
Protected under a loving shield
For those gentle loving people
Let no evil thing draw near
The first to blooms, stubborn and wild
Drew aside and found
Somewhere else to reside
In so leaving, the gentle couple far behind
The next summer flower was a sad one at that
It did not see any reason to survive
So despite all the love and care
Away it withered and soon it died
The next summer flower
Was picked by a beautiful, honest lad
Who kept it and loved it
For all that, it was forever glad
The last four blooms
Have still a far way to go
But the gentle couple has made it known
That they are loved and were specially grown
