Summer Kind Of Guy

Soaking up the solarity
That's my hilarity.
I'm a summer kind of guy
Marveling at the pelicans flying high.
The calm bay waters are blue green,
And white clouds speckle the sky.
That's also my hilarity.
I'm a summer kind of guy.

The fish below are ignoring me
As I patiently await their bite.
I guess they'll wait to eat
Until I've gone home for the night.

But I came out here today
To also watch the porpoises play,
And the many international ships pass by.
I'm a summer kind of guy.

So, if the fish don't bite
I don't fright.
I'll take some photos
And collect some driftwood.
For I'm a summer kind of guy.
