A mist arises in the valley, as summer morns begin.
Dewy grass beneath bare feet; Ol' Sol's rays peek-the day begins.
Begins in praise and thanks to Him, who gives us this lush season
that nutures gardens and fields alike; abundant florals amazing.
Oh Heavenly Father, who but You could send just what is needed
to adjust the temperature of the soil for all the rows so seeded,
and in Your wisdom provide the rain or cause the soil to dry.
Such perfect "green thumb" process could only come from on high.
As sprouts thrive to yielding plants, succulent food we're given.
Just as manna fell from above, we too are tasting a bit of Heaven.
Oh Praise You, Heavenly Father, for summer days You send.
A summer prayer we raise to You in Jesus' name. Amen.
