Summertime a poem

Going from milk chocolate to dark chocolate in the heat of summer hottest in the month of August.
I bake in the sun and become a beautiful dark chocolate woman who loves her skin as dark as it gets.
I remember that I have beautiful healthy youthful dark skin.
I want my skin just as it is.
I should be able to just accept myself without anybody’s opinion of the color of my skin.
I learned to love my skin color, eye color and hair color.
What an achievement for me!
It doesn’t matter what color I am, I am beautiful as I am.
Summer is my favorite season!
Summer reminds me of the Caribbean where the weather is always beautiful.
When it’s nice outside, even when it’s hot I think let me go outside in a nice sundress and soak it up!

This Poems Story

I have self-love in my 30s. I remember the way I was self-conscious as a teenager, in my 20s and especially as a child.
