Sunflowewr Falling

Once a seedling, now towering the air
Sunflower
all was swell until he came along
now I'm falling without a care
he pushed in deep, taking all my roots had
"your protecting them", these words made me mad
pain was just a metaphor, slowly breaking at the stem
his every touch carving my insides like a pumpkin
only holding on for them, 2 innocent or my skin
I chose mine... sunflower falling
laying there motionless, waiting for him to end
out of fear I'd never confess,"I'm her medication"
every chance he'd have me bend
soon we migrated, west is where we went
problems were created, he was distracted and spent
I felt a little freedom
then it happened
he died in a mountainous kingdom
now I pretend
"it never happened"
Sunflower falling
with broken peddles
I will rise
