Sunny Outside (QUARANTINE 2020)

By

Today is all the sun could say
Whose beams are star-shine talking;
The clouds have given way in all
And let the blue dome govern full
Over our sensibilities
So virus-wracked and indoor weary..

And we accede the rulership
As waywards seeking home
So lost in journey's yesterday
Of murk, we lurch toward shine.

And day is all but Heaven then
Because the beaming sun.
But mingled with these shining hours
Still...this lingering unseen residue of Hell.
