the sun danced on the horizon
its quick feet grazing over the water that spilled out
jumping with white waves as far as the eye could see

the colors of the sky kissed and flung themselves into each other
blurring all the pastel pinks and deep oranges
they swung in a dance into the sun who welcomed them

the wind twirled and twisted
its salty breath making its course on to the warm sand
who threw itself into the air with joy

the waves sighed and bid goodbye to the shore
they drew farther out becoming tired
it became smaller as it prepared for rest

then the darkness came and swallowed the warmth
the purples and blues drowned the other colors into the sleeping waters
chills and cold laced itself into the once warm breeze

night had fallen.
