Supercars

Heads turn even standing still
Imaginations released dreaming of speed
Screaming tires hold the road
World blurs as the horizons recede

Designed by the wind and rolling waves
Names as famous as the gods
Ferrari, Lamborghini, Bugatti
Just to drive one would be beating the odds

Hidden behind the darkened glass
Crowds crane just to see who
Burbles and growls red light
Engine waits déjà vu

Curves and planes cheating the air
Five-point harness holding you in place
Monstrous power waiting to be released
Lips curled in a smile time to race
