Why do stars explode?
Fading balls of gas set idle men to dream
If a mixture of hydrogen and helium
Cannot sustain old age then why will we,
Both bigger and brighter that the sun
Self-destructing beautiful balances of forces
Formed by pressure.
Magnificent blue and red mistakes
They burn out or blow-up .
Trivial speckles placed across the sky
Every year another one dies.
