Surrounded by Darkness

I was once surrounded by darkness with no hope of light.
my brightest days became my darkest nights.
So cold inside,I felt so alone, with no one there all hope was gone.
Scared to death,fill with fear.
With a constant reminder that followed every tear.
I aimlessly wondered,no destination in sight.
In desperate need of gods Devine light.
To be wrapped in the protection of his loving embrace.
To remove the tears that trace my face
Then all of a sudden,I hear a voice.
It softly whispers into my ear.
I hear your cries child and I collect your tears.
Trust in me and let me lead the way.
I'll take those dark nights
and give you the brightest days.
So I bowed my head and fell to my knees.
I cried dear Jesus save me please.
He came into my heart
