Surrounded by God’s Beauty

Just like a cow grazing in a pasture,
I long to see better days.
One with hopefulness and contentment
Where the skies seem less gray.
I would rather be a flower in a field;
Standing still and planted firm.
Admiring the beauty around me
At peace just like I yearn.
What if I was as soft as the wind;
Blowing through from tree to tree?
I would pick up that very flower
We’d glide right by for all the world to see.
The skies will seem less gray
As the flower surely flies by.
It would land in the pasture field
And catch the cattle by surprise.
The cows would begin to stare
As they quietly stop their grazing.
They’ll find that they are surrounded by God’s beauty
As they look up in amazement.
The winds ain’t so bad after all
For the rains it sends will help those flowers grow.
The winds will carry a flower
Just as free as it blows.
The cattle will remain lazy as the winds go cold
But there will always be another flower down the road.
