Survive

shattered walls and broken hearts are seen for miles and on. shaken
spirits and weary souls no food in sight to eat only peace i thrive
to think is sleeping in my bed drifting away in a depth of a dream.
children are running around with grins of delight cheering on
streets with joy. the end, the end has finally come. the war has
finally ceased. our nation, our leaders have found a way for us to
truly be pleased. then my eyes began to open, looking around with
tears it's just a dream, i told myself, trying hard to forget. within
a frame i laid back down trying to dream again. then vibrations
shook me up. i thought,"the end has come." i jumped out of
bed looking to see the aid and supplies out front. could it be
true? it wasn't a dream. it wasn't it wasn't the firing has
stopped. hugging cheering away, realizing there's more in
life to see. the end is not here. we can rest assured.
still to this day i can't remember a better treasure
of memories that are hear to stay.
