Survivor

All of my fears in a lockbox nearby
upon it sits God giving me courage to try
to pick up the pieces of my shattered life
to deal with the pain of that ever piercing knife
to nurture the child that lives deep inside
reassuring her, she no longer needs to hide
oh child of mine don't run and hide
I need you here right by my side
you'll never be alone again
i'll always be your closest friend
