Table For Two

Our first date. Feeling nervous as I search for my prettiest dress. I wanted to look my best.
Heart pounding. Anticipation. Waiting for you to arrive. Feeling like a teenager so alive.

You drove up in your pickup truck and I thought that was cool. Smelling so nice with roses in hand what a sweet surprise. Your eyes seemed kind and warm. Taking me by storm.

There we were at a table for two. What a beautiful view. Outside in the night. Candlelights burning dim. Greenery surrounding in the quiet.

At ease casting our cares getting to know one another. Time stood still, time flew by. Time moved on. You ask me to marry you. We said I do.

The time and place. Your smile your face. Where friendship started and love grew. I will always remember that table for two.
