Take it Down

Take it down..take it down..its flown just way too long..
There's no heritage worth remembering, if it carries a hate so strong.
These words that you are reading..they come from a southern man
But never will I base...my opinions due to race...but more on where you stand.

Take it down...take it down...9 more we lost that day.
Senseless deaths..and stolen breaths, in a place where people pray.
How long must we endure...this human degradation
Its right or wrong, not black or white...silly racist segregation.

Take it down take it down....fold it up...lay it to rest.
It took 9 lives to shake us up...now take it down my Southern gents.
