Take me home

Take me home,
I left the bed unmade,
The table full of random things,
A cup of half-drunk tea,
A half-read book.

Take me home,
I am not sure that I
Turned off the lights,
Took out the garbage bag,
Locked the door.

Take me home,
I probably left
My toothbrush uncapped,
My drawers unlocked,
Tons of papers unclassified.

Take me home,
I may have left
The radio turned on,
The iron connected,
Piles of dirty cloths scattered.

Maybe or maybe not.
I don't know for sure,
Just take me back.

All I know is that
On the edge of the bed,
Right next to the pillow,
I left a piece of paper,
With some unfinished words...

At least take it to me
Here in my new home.
