Take me with you...
The bags, on the front porch, still, like my non-beating heart.
The rain, slamming, like my tears falling on the ground.
Your face, dropping like the china that you broke.
Mom, where will you go? Can I go with you?
The door, closing, like sun being drawn from my heart.
The clock chimes, signaling you are gone.
The smile, how could you smile?!
Dad, where will she go? Can I go with her?
I want to go with you.
Mom, you left, and the drinking began.
Dad, you let her go, don't blame her!
The fighting stopped, but so did the love.
Momma, please, take me with you...
