Take the Chance for Hope
Fear's what got me here-reckless and exposed.
I didn't care as lies take me over.
Protected with peace and love I supposed,
Thought it wasn't a choice, forced, moreover.
It crept up like the Snake-warning sign gone,
Teeth bared to attack, not weak, innocent.
Cloaked in the dark and light humans play as pawns.
Blind of the role they portray-mind absent.
To break free would be a great hopeless risk.
As long as you're on the string never bolt,
And to do so would mean to be quick-brisk.
Take the chance it's worth the luck to revolt.
Hope is near! Fear and danger can't compare
To the life I could live in free fresh air.
