Taking It To The Altar

I'm leaving all my stressors and burdens at the altar
They are too heavy to carry alone and I'm beginning
to falter
Lord my strength is weakening I can't go any farther
I'm asking for help again I don't mean to be a bother
Trying to do things without you I continue to fail and
I'm to blame
I know how you love for us to call on your Holy name
Please shield me from the dangers that surround me
Because you are the only one who can cover and love
me unconditionally
I'm leaving all of my so-called friends and enemies at
the altar
They think they've won but they've forgotten that you
are also a Vaulter
You sit high and look low watching every movement
step by step
Even behind closed doors you see the deep dark secrets
that are kept
I'm leaving it all at the altar and freeing myself
of all doubt
Knowing that you Lord God you will work it all out
