Tale of Too Many Food Binges

Her obsession sparkles
Good 'N' Plenty. No.

Chocolate chip cookies
melt her mouth. Saliva

floods an ark loaded
with every kind of candy.

Dessert forever claims
lips, tongue, esophagus.

Stomach acids override
taste, texture, sugary

obsession. She dreams
her sweets in Technicolor.

Intestines signal overload,
liver weighs in-glucose high.

Her heart murmurs, always
an undertone. Vibrato shakes

these walls apart, mouth
open to the ark.
