Tattered and Torn

Here I sit crying, thinking lonesome and depressing thoughts
About the perfect man I'd thought I once caught.
Our love somehow quickly vanished, just like a ghost.
What happened to that handsome couple people admired most-
Where is that passion we had all the time?
Our relationship is true, yet considered a damn crime.
They're all against our unity, since the very start.
They casted me out; they have torn us apart.
We're together, people need to go with the flow.
Only you can tell me to stay or to go.
Everyone has forgotten; that we are living this life.
I hope, one day, we'll truly be husband and wife.
I miss the beating of your heart at night;
But nowadays, all we do is bicker and fight.
You are my serenity, strength, my future, my hope.
Without you, baby boy, I wouldn't be able to cope.
My heart is broken; it is tattered and torn
By the evil, brutal words that you have sworn.
The mental abuse is agonizing; why can't you see
That you're the only one who's truthfully killing me?
You claim that you love me and you care,
Yet, I'm treated like your prisoner; that's not fair.
Why do you lie about still being with me?
Why are my belongings, under your lock and key?
They're all against our unity, since the very start.
You casted me out, you have torn us apart.
What happened to that handsome couple, people admired most.
Our love somehow quickly vanished, just like a ghost.
About the perfect man I'd thought I once caught-
Here I sit crying, thinking lonesome and depressing thoughts.
