Tattoo

Tattoo: the thing that everyone has all over
their silver lining, the opposite face
to their skin's outside shine
tarnish that... no one can see
without a telescope, a microscope on a tube
that snakes around tapping all the tattoo
marks and ink dots in tear drops
and crestfallenness when you can't seem
to school your expressions enough to hide
that someone somewhere is holding a needle-tipped
pen to your inside and drawing lines
