Look at me
with those eyes of yours
that are as cold
as the ocean in Maine
and just as grey
as the fog that sets in
there, blinding every driver
That fog could take a life...
So look at me with your eyes
and take away my breath.

Share with me
your unspoken secrets,
I can shuffle through the lies.
One look illustrates a thousand stories-
the words of each, I'd inhale
and count on those breaths
to save my life.

Please, look at me with those eyes,
The eyes that have lived
so long, and seen
what most could not.
Please look at me
with those eyes,
and maybe then
I could settle down
and dream.
