Tears

My tears are my only bath
My only way to stay clean
I cry for the young ones
Longing for their family
After their childhood ripped away
I cry for the food they hardly give us
I cry for the ones jumping off
Saying I'd rather die
I cry for the sick
The ones who won't make it
I cry for the chains they wrap around our neck
I cry for the mothers
After their children have been taken
I cry for the ones who rebel
I cry for the white men who know it's wrong
I cry for freedom
