Flowing endlessly
Making a puddle at her feet
Little by little
They cascaded
Down her flushed cheeks
Quiet as a church mouse
Making absolutely no noise
So that she wouldn't disturb anyone
In the vicinity with her voice
Stifled sobs came
One after the other
In an attempt to
Quiet down herself
 At the ungodly hour
With red - rimmed eyes
And a face that no longer held a smile
She gathered up the pieces
That was left of her
And tried to settle in
For the rest of the night
Hoping she gets some sleep
Putting her worries aside
Ignoring the new wave of tears that
Threatened to fall freely
And wreck havoc on her totally
