Tears of Widows

Listen to the waves as they crash against the shore,
Echoing, echoing, tales of forgotten lore,
How many souls lost, how many widows cry?
How many would willingly in their husband's place die?
But they go on like all mortals do,
As a gray sky changes to blue.
