Teenage Dream

Talk to me on the telephone after school.
Every Friday night I wait for you to pick me up at 8.
Even when you forget about our plans I can't stay mad at you.
Next to you in class; next to you in your car.
After the dance we can go get burgers and eat them on your roof.
Give me your class ring after 10 months.
Even if you don't mean it, I do.

Dream of you walking up the stairs to my room.
Read your notes over and over again until I have them memorized.
Everytime you kiss me your eyes are open.
After prom you went drinking with your friends.
Maybe we should break up.
