Teeth Won’t Break Chains

Let’s read the works of those before us
The Greeks, French, and Romantics
Anything we can get lost in
Better yet, find ourselves within
Let’s ponder upon humanity
Our skin and what it holds
Our minds and what we’ve been told
And how it hurt us
Let’s fall in love along life’s shore
Leave what’s lost behind
I’ll gnaw at your shackles
and maybe you can gnaw at mine
