Ten More Pounds

She's getting weaker every day
Walking past her fridge every morning and evening in shame
Spending a little extra time at the gym
Getting a little too slim
"Ten More Pounds"
She can't possibly withstand P.E.
Gets worried when outside God cranks up the heat
At the end of the day gets on that scale
But despite her efforts, it was just another fail
"Ten More Pounds"
Walks past her local McDonald's for an afternoon run
But she thinks "But their salads will make me way a ton!"
Today she'll let it slide 'cause their burgers are good with fries
But she can already feeling it weighing her down on her sides
"Ten More Pounds"
The bathroom has become a familiar friend
Where cuts and bruises have no ends
Where blood spills through the cracks
No matter how much she weighs, she should lose more than half
"Ten More Pounds
She looks in those magazines
She's way too lean, but she's only a teen
But you know what, life is rough, guess she'll never be enough
But, beauty queens do need their crowns
Guess she'll have to lose ten more pounds.
