Thank You Depression

Thank you depression.
You are this bed, you are my pillow.
You welcome me home with both open arms
and a warm, dark heart.
And, in that, I find so much comfort.
You give me life; a dark, uncomfortable,
lonely life but life nonetheless. Thank
you for sticking around after running
everyone away. You are my broken
umbrella in the storm and my rubber boots,
overflowing with water. Though, throughout all
of that, I still find so much comfort in you.
