Thank You Note

Shelter you gave me
When I had none
A place to be myself
A home I could be awake with the set sun

Thank you is not enough
To repay the generosity you showed
When you opened up your home
To a person you hardly knew
Pay it forward I will try to see that through

Friendship you bestowed upon me
Without asking for anything in return
Trying to set my strengths free
I was in the process of trying to relearn

Thank you is not enough
To say that I was grateful
Understated would it be to say it was fateful
For my rejuvenation
I needed to find anew imagination
Thank you for your silent partnership
In restoring my faith in true friendship
