Thankful but Hurt

Today we eat and gather with warmth
Our family comes in some far away
Some come from the north.

Then you have some we tend to forget,
That are probably cold and hungry
Or laying down in a tent.

Although some may made the beds that they lay
But my heart still hurts while it shatters and breaks.

I'm thankful for everyone and thing
I'll be sending the prayers that I pray.

In hopes that they make it to the lonely on this day.
They may think no know thinks of them,
But I do care even if they don't know they are meaningful
And for that I give thanks.

This Poems Story

My name is Tasia Massey, and I\'m 30 years old. Today is Thanksgiving Day and I was a little down in the dumps and cooking when I went out for a store run and saw a man at a train station I\'m sure he wasn\'t waiting for a train I\'m sure he was just sitting there lost and my heart hurt not only for him but for the selfishness of me for being down in the dumps when there is people who have no one or nothing it made me feel really bad. And I wrote this poem from the thought of the store trip.
