That Childhood Life

I wish I were free, like a bird on a tree.
I wish I could soar high, in the great blue sky.
I have a dream, where I have to just scream,
for an easier life than this.
It's that childhood life I miss.
Remember a time when we'd run and play?
I wish it would be that way.
When money wasn't the issue,
and love needed no tissue.
I wish that I could go back.
But I grew up so hand me a six pack.
