That Cruel Moon

That Cruel Moon, oh so wretched!
Bathing such a demented Earth in its sweet light
Its glorious light.
That Cruel Moon, oh so divine!
Showering such a fair maiden in its doting light
Its glorious light.
That Cruel Moon, oh so scandalous!
Striking my bare soul with the memories,
I fought to forget in its complex light
Its glorious light.
Oh Cruel Moon, why do you torment me so!
Basking me with a light of evil, of kindness
a light of blunders, of intelligence
a light of secrecy, of revelation
Oh Cruel Moon!
