That Friend of Mine

That friend of mine
She was always first in my line.
A shade for me , in the brightest of sunshine.
She cried with me , in the hardest of times.
She laughed with me
On even the most insane rhymes!
She was a savior, Who destroyed all my fears!
That friend of mine
Was the one, with whom I was always fine!

But I lost her that day.
The day she left me alone
As if I was some stone.
She was no longer by my side,
But she found many others
To fulfill my role.
I was torn apart.
She had defeated both,
My brain and my heart.
Except for that fake face,
With nothing else could I restart.
Indeed, that friend of mine
Taught me lessons for lifetime.
