That One Fine Day

Rapid and steady my heart beat,
Walking towards you for our first formal meet.
You stand before me like a bright sunny day,
Nervous as hell in every way.
With one hug and that big smile,
It was worth the rush of every mile.
The anticipation of our next meet,
Is like clouds under my feet.
Your voice echoes though my mind,
Thinking what a woman I did find.
The movements of your lips as you speak,
The image of kissing them makes me weak.
Awkward conversation didn't seem to be the case,
Except I couldn't stop starring at your face.
Out in the cold but so warm inside,
My excitement was hard to hide.
Wanting so bad to steal that first kiss,
Taking no chance to ruin the newfound bliss.
You're heavy on my mind most of everyday,
I am so thankful for That One Fine Day!
