The 4th of July

The crackling of flares in the night sky illuminate umber eyes,
Sparkling with great intensity and blissfully piercing souls,
A familial-like joy experienced by all in the presence,
A birth of new beginnings and radiant laughter
Exchanged gazes silence the crackles and booms of
Nearing fireworks and dimmen the burning winstons and
Parliaments choking up the breeze. The sizzling of telephone
Poles join in the symphony and sings a sweet melody
Of freedom and liberty to be heard throughout the
stygian care-free sky
