The Affair

Skin touching skin
Breath touching breath
Two passions at their high
Two racing hearts
Four clasping hands
Two voices sound a sigh
In love or lust
It matters not
Through caution to the wind
Their bodies move and undulate
To one climatic end
But afterwords they contemplate
That caution somehow lost
And wonder at what might
Become the consequential cost
