The Anti-Fairytale

Once there was a beautiful lady named Hayley
She met a young man that she wanted to talk to daily
She loved him, but was afraid to say
Promising herself she would the next day
She didn't know that he loved her too
And he knew him saying it was way overdue
But day after day neither said something
Until the day neither could say anything
Tragedy struck and left him broken
Regretting the things that were left unspoken
She couldn't stay but left him clues
To help mend his heart from these dark blues
He made a promise to always remember her perfection
And always remember her with the most affection
