The Art of Self Destruction

An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth,
what price would you pay for your values?
Look into yourself and find the truth.

Vengeance, a pretty mistress, a cruel sleuth,
slinking among the twisted hearts of her lovers,
an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth.

Thoughts consume the sickened mind, uncouth.
To what extent would the wronged man go for the sake of equal deeds?
Look into yourself and find the truth.

Terrible crimes, terrible lies, only in the spilled blood will be found sooth.
Shedding tears, breaking bonds, this meal is served on ice.
An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth.

A passion found in a wrongdoing’s youth,
how juvenile is the victim’s virtue?
Look into yourself and find the truth.

Revenge, a sinister being, cold, more bitter than vermouth.
Man is simple, quick, and self destructive.
An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth.
Look into yourself and find the truth.
