The Audacity

The audacity of people
And the audacity of my past
For its hard to stand the pressure
Of them creeping up at last

The feelings that keep growing
And fermenting in my soul
Will only begin to produce
Something no one can control

I can't tell you what I consist of
But the air that I breathe
And the water that I'm made of
Is everything but clean

The ugliest of ends
And the ends that make no meet
Are dwelling inside a monster
That lives off a heartbeat

Monsters are real people
Just like you and I
But some of them are closer to you
Than just what meets the eye

A person is a hiding place
Where they hibernate within
Yet those who are entangled
Become less made of skin
