The Awakening

His eyes open
The path illuminated
instantly, effortlessly;
The world at once created,
he holds within him yet another.

Darkness dares not show,
temptation fades
An inherent power
he holds over the pair
always escaping, always triumphing.

Yet how long
can his hold last?
It is malleable,
for Lucifer owns man
strapped in the reality of others

His eyes open,
conscious of the light,
a dominion fully realized
Time sweeps in,
and with it,
a lone flicker.
