The Balance

Walking a dangerous path
day in to month out
the line of the semblance of sanity
and a berserker state
persistently pelted with psychological arrows
tettering side to side
nothing in reach to catch myself from
a hellish fall
relentless pounding behind the window
to where a soul should be
wishing for a deity to pray to
without proof its nothing more than receiving
a hundred paper cuts
balance must be maintained at all times
can't slip or some could be dead
