The Bathtub Dream

One day I was floating in the sea
With so much water all around me
Sometimes the water was calm
Then it would get rough
I had to stick it out, I had to be tough
Not a boat or plane from any direction in sight
I had to fight it and stay above the water with all my might
Sometimes I was sad
and asked how could this be
Is anyone even looking for me
As time went on the water started to get cold
My skin was wrinkling, making me look old
I was so tired so I closed my eyes
When I opened them again I was so surprised
It was a dream, we all have them now and then
But I promised myself that I'D never ever
Fall asleep in the bathtub again.
