The Beach

Splish, splash, fun in the water,
look a mother is watching her daughter.
The bright summer sun shines on the land,
warming the comforting golden sand.

Teenagers playing volleyball,
or watching waves rise and fall.
Who would have thought it all so fun,
playing in the summer sun.

My soul that longs to run and play,
always seems to see my way.
Long will I await that sunny season,
holding with it my only reason,
to go lay on the beach.
