The Beauty of Loss

When I think of all that passed due to the pandemic,
I sigh in anguish
All of those people, dead
It's almost like they just vanished

And soon they will be forgotten,
except for those bereaved
No one will be there to wipe their tears
and they will feel deceived

No one can imagine the heartache they felt
when they found out their loved one was gone
No one understood the sorrow they felt
and the pain they had just foregone

From the thoughts, I can feel the tears
Losing a loved one is everybody’s biggest fear
Nothing but heartache and feelings of woe
We all hate to say goodbye but not letting go

It’ll take a while to heal as we’re filled with lament
Hearts filled of anguish, you’re out of the planet
No longer with us just feelings of sorrow.
But you’re in our hearts as we wake up tomorrow
