The big game

I lay awake in my bed,
dreading what is ahead.
Tomorrow is the big day,
Tomorrow we shall play.
At home plate I swing my bat,
I am waiting for a run.
I will not stop until the day is done,
this is not fun,
For I lay awake in my bed dreading what will come.
Tomorrow is the big game,
I will not bring my self to shame!
