The Burden of Love
Is there a correct way to write about my shining love,
When just a mere touch from her can create a frenzy of
Exciting ecstasy, sending shivers straight through my skin?
But the question still remains, can I start to find within
The sweet smooth scent of my everlasting, eternal dove?
And if I am truly a lover where do I begin
To confess man's eternal curse to my angel above
Knowing full well that at any moment my linchpin could spin?
As I venture on my journey to her heart, I must try
To truly triumph over a primal fear and defy
Odds and obstructions to seize and finally testify
My undying, unrelenting pledge to always standby
The only genuine gift God has granted from the sky.
Only then may I enjoy happiness before I die.
