The Burning Ice

Ice as black as stone,
ice that burns straight through the heart.
Burning everything within sight.
Ice as bitter as could be.
The burning ice was spreading fast.
Ice so cold yet so hot.
Ice that makes you tingle in shock.
Ice that makes you shiver in cold.
Ice that devours your very being.
Ice that makes you tremble in fear.
Ice that gleams as bright as can be.
Ice that causes that burning pain.
Ice that makes you feel the loss,
ice that makes you know you care more than you show.
Ice so cold yet so hot,
the burning ice was spreading fast.
